Electronics, live music and performance at Ebelsberg Castle

To further local networking and as a commitment to the city's margins, the Festival of Regions and the Stadtwerkstatt are organizing, in co-operation with Linz09 Good Night Stuff and the Subversive Fair, a joint festival evening. The musical program curated by the three organizing initiatives, with a focus on electronic sounds, analogue noise and socio-political positions, will bring out the critical positioning vis-à-vis the castle idyll situated between a romantic cliché and a historical burden. Beats will come up against reflexive and queer contents as well as party riffs — mainstream, of course, sounds quite different. Parallel to this, artistic and performative interventions will survey the unusual location, the historical theatre of the bloody Battle of Ebelsberg between Napoleon and the Habsburg troops, and to the present day home of a military and naval collection. SUPAKLUB-South will create a temporary Ebelsberg — nothing else, but an expanded one.
