Take a dog through Auwiesen
Linz Stadt Public intervention

Auwiesen is a place of dogs and dog owners. Walking a dog leads to unavoidable contact with other dog owners. The dogs tend to force the conversation, as they excitedly perform a parallel get-together and bring the walk to a temporary halt. The starting-point for a conversation is almost always the dog. The initiative of the German-British artist duo starts with these observations and offers festival visitors the option of taking a dog for a walk through Auwiesen, a simple daily routine which opens the possibility of a unique interaction with Auwiesen and its residents. For the duration of the festival a convenient meeting-point for interested visitors and cooperating dog owners will be set up, where details of the paths taken and the experiences of those taking part will be documented. The project has been developed in close consultation with the relevant animal protection institutions.
