After visiting the place several times, the artist has produced a new series of small paintings that will be presented outdoors in solarCity. Like additional sign-posting, the works will be found on street lighting poles, the walls of houses and traffic signs, and will guide visitors through the terrain. In Anna Meyer's paintings, documentation, commentary and critique combine. For solarCity is a place situated between coolness, melancholy and 'everyday worm' (title of a painting) where youths fall from the sky, populate the 'mutant factory' or, on the other side of the Mühlbach , enter "Real Life. The filmic nature of the paintings corresponds to the character of the estate which for visitors often evokes recollections of film sets, stage scenery and backdrops. The installation of the paintings outdoors underscores Anna Meyer's interest in artistic work that is close to reality. She does without the usual exhibition apparatus in order to get even closer to the essential nature of the place.
