Nomad City Passage

Linz Stadt Social intervention

Set up tent where others live — Nomad City Passage is a travelling camping ground. The residents of the housing complexes, interested residents of Linz and festival visitors are invited to spend a night in a tent in the festival’s focal region. People will spend a night in the Climbing Hall of the Auwiesen Sports Centre and the home renovation market in Wiener Straße (in the first week of the festival), in the Small Water Power Station Kleinmünchen and on the grounds of the Provincial Capital Shooting Range Auerhahn on the banks of the Traun River (second week of the festival) as well as on open areas and at the school centre of solarCity (third week of the festival). The joint erection and use of a temporary, travelling camping ground provides the opportunity for re-experiencing one's own living space. In close proximity to everyday life, the nights are placed in the middle of the week because of the associated insights to be gained into nocturnal routines on location.Breakfast together will mark the end of the event. Tents, blankets, sleeping bags, gas and washing facilities are available at the locations.
