Besuchen Sie uns nicht! / Don't visit us!

As a resident of Kirchdorf and local activist, with his series of posters, Don't Visit Us, Rudy Geissler takes up the paradoxes in current discussions of the future in his own immediate environs and exaggerates them in a thought provoking way.

For many years defined by through traffic (up until 2003, the district of Kirchdorf on the Krems was the last gap in the controversial Pyrhn expressway) and somewhat off the beaten track for a classical tourist destination, the town is situated as a traditional administrative centre in the field of tensions between daily mobility, modern economic development and the newly won perspective as a place of retreat that has come about through the sudden calm.
